Leeds United manager Daniel Farke says he is proud of his team for fighting back from a two goal deficit to draw with Chelsea to move up to 15th place in the league standings.

Farke’s team drew 2-2 with the Blues at Stamford Bridge after scoring twice in six minutes to cancel out Chelsea’s lead and score another important result in their fight against relegation.

Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer put Chelsea up but Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor got Leeds level with the latter surviving a major scare late in the game after Palmer shockingly missed a must score goal.

Speaking after the game, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior said he was devastated by the result but on his part, Daniel Farke was pleased with the result. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“The boys did us proud. Chelsea, of course, were the dominate side and created more chances and won the statistics – but I think we fought so hard for this point. It’s a well-deserved point and I’m very proud of the lads.”

“We want to be an established Premier League side in a few years and we are on a good path to achieving that this season” Farke said to TNT Sports.
