On a day Harry Maguire got called up to the England National Men’s Football Team, the English defender ended it in a flat way after getting dismissed from Manchester United’s English Premier League game.
Man United drew 2-2 with AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium with the home side twice registering a comeback to earn the draw. Maguire was the main culprit in Bournemouth’s second equaliser after committing a penalty that led to his dismissal.
Speaking after the game to the BBC, Michael Carrick said he was disappointed with the result but wasn’t too convinced about the decision to dismiss Maguire from the game.
“We created enough chances and had enough opportunities in the game…Maybe – it ended up chaos at that time so decisions go in different ways and he’s made that decision. Ours should’ve been a penalty before, we would’ve had two penalties and then that wouldn’t have happened” Carrick said.

Drawing against Bournemouth kept Man United in third place in the league standings.
