Interim Chelsea head coach Calum McFarlane shared his disappointment in his team’s loss to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues lost 3-1 to Nottingham with Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi scoring a brace in the big win that eases Forest’s relegation concerns.
Vitor Pereira’s side moved six points clear of 17th ranked West Ham United after the win while Chelsea rank ninth in the standings with both teams having three games remaining to close out the league campaign.
In his second game as interim Chelsea head coach, McFarlane missed out on a win unlike his debut that resulted in a 2-0 win over Leeds United in the FA Cup.
“Massively disappointing – we know we are a lot better than what we showed today. I don’t think we ever got to our level so very disappointing.”

“We just need to improve on this performance and be ready for another game in five days” McFarlane said to the BBC.

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer missed a penalty kick attempt and Joao Pedro had a goal ruled offside.
