Chelsea Football Club interim head coach Calum McFarlane has promised to stop the rot at the London club.
The Blues lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge in a game that had youngster Jesse Derry get stretchered off in his debut league outing after suffering a serious head injury.
In his second game as head coach of Chelsea since taking over from the sacked Liam Rosenior, McFarlane couldn’t steer the club to a win but was confident things will change at the club for the better.
“I wouldn’t say that-this is a difficult club to coach. We got into some good situations in the second half, it wasn’t down to a lack of effort.”

“We believe we will [stop the ‘rot’] we see the lads every day and they are doing everything they can. We need to move on quickly and it’s about responding now” McFarlane said to Sky Sports after losing to Forest.

Nottingham Forest moved six points clear of 17th ranked West Ham United in the league standings after the beating Chelsea.
