Brazil’s National Men’s Football Team head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to announce his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on May 18 and football legend Neymar Dos Santos Jr. is making a strong push to make the cut and compete in the World Cup for the fourth time in his career.
The former FC Barcelona player starred in Santos FC’s 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino in a league clash by scoring in the win indicating an uptick in recent performances.

Neymar hasn’t featured for Brazil since October 2023 after suffering multiple injuries and was happy his team got a long awaited win.

“I’m happy to have scored, to have helped the team and to win, which is the most important thing. We hadn’t won for some time” Neymar said to Globoesports.

Brazil have been drawn in Group C for the World Cup alongside Morocco, Haiti and Scotland. In 13 games in all competitions this season, Neymar has six goals and three assists.
