Minnesota Timberwolves lost heavily again to the San Antonio Spurs in the ongoing 2025-2026 second round NBA playoff series after falling 97-126 in Game 5 but Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards says he isn’t too worried.
He said this in a post-game address to reporters after registering 20 points, two assists and two rebounds in 39 minutes in the loss.
Losing to San Antonio meant that Minnesota trailed San Antonio heading to Game 6 in Minnesota on Saturday, May 16.
Spurs center Victor Wembanyama was ejected after just 12 minutes in Game 4 but returned to deliver 27 points and 17 rebounds in 33 minutes and the French star was applauded by Edwards.
“I don’t see nobody in our locker room that’s too worried. There’s another basketball game.”

“Come out, put your boots on and get ready to go to war. Some of the stuff Wemby was doing you don’t really have too much of an answer for. You just hope he misses” Edwards said.

Edwards also welcomed the extended break before Game 6 as he continues to deal with a knee injury by stating, “I’m so happy. I’m ready to get two days. I’m excited for it.”
