48 nations will compete in the tournament including Ghana with this year’s event being the Black Stars’ fifth appearance.

However, Ghana holds the lowest ranking among the 10 African nations (73rd in the world) competing in the tournament. Ghana will compete at the group stage against England, Croatia and Panama.

Per statistical projections from Opta, the four time African Champions also have a very low probability of making a deep run in the tournament with the platform giving the Black Stars a 6.8% chance of making it to the quarterfinals. The odds lower further as Ghana has just a 0.7% chance of reaching the final and a 0.2%chance of winning the trophy.
