Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan equalled her season’s best of 12.27 seconds to win the women’s 100m hurdles at the Paris Diamond League on Sunday, June 28.
The time, achieved with a legal tailwind of 0.7m/s, matched her fastest performance of the 2026 season and strengthened her preparations for the major championships later this year.

Amusan remains the women’s 100m hurdles world record holder after setting a historic 12.12 seconds in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Her record has come under increasing attention this season, with several athletes, including American Masai Russell, producing fast times in pursuit of the mark.

The Paris victory adds another Diamond League title to Amusan’s résumé and reinforces her status as one of the leading contenders in the event.
