England National Men’s Football Team head coach Thomas Tuchel has slammed the performance of his team despite the Three Lions securing qualification to the semifinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He said this in an interview with ITV after England came back from a goal down to beat Norway 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
Jude Bellingham scored both goals in the win to increase his tally in the competition to six goals in six games ahead of the semifinals.
After describing Bellingham as a “world class player” and relishing the big win that was recorded after extra time, the German said,
“He-Jude Bellingham- does it every single match. World class. We made life very, very difficult for ourselves today.”

“The result is fantastic. We are in the last four. It’s amazing but not happy with the performance. – in every sense.”

“The commitment is there but we made life difficult for is in the way we played and how we played – sloppy, a lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough, not repetitive enough. We were lucky today.”
