Kumasi Asante Kotoko Board Chairman James Osei Brown has urged the team to put last season’s disappointing campaign behind them and focus on the upcoming season.
Osei Brown made the remarks during a team meeting in Accra after Kotoko moved their pre-season base from Kumasi to the capital ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko finished eighth in the league last season and went through three head coaches, including two interim appointments.
Speaking in the presence of Director of Football Stanley Menzo, Osei Brown urged the players to give their best and help the club achieve better results in the new season.
“We are preparing you for a greater future. We all know that the last season, we couldn’t get what we wanted.”

“We did the best we could but the result is not what we wanted but we are having a new beginning. I want us to forget about the past and let’s focus, let’s be determined.

“Join me with the kind of effort we are building. Put the same effort [in] step by step, each match after each match…our focus is that every time that we meet we are going to win” Brown said.
