KRC Genk Head of Football Dimitri de Conde has described Ghana forward Jerry Afriyie as an excellent addition to the club.
De Conde made the comments after Afriyie joined the Belgian side on a five year deal from Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah.
The move marks a return to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League for Afriyie, who spent part of the 2025/26 season on loan at RAAL La Louviere. The Black Stars forward scored five goals and provided two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for La Louviere.
After completing the signing of the soon to be 20 year old, De Conde praised Afriyie’s qualities and welcomed him to Genk, saying,
“Jerry is a player with an incredible amount of energy. Whatever he does, he gives 100%. That fits perfectly with the intensity we want to see at KRC Genk.”

“He is also still very young, and we will provide him with the right environment to continue his development. We firmly believe he will be an excellent addition to the current squad, both now and for the future.”
