Ivorian international winger Simon Adingra says he hopes to achieve the level of success chalked by Ghana winger Mohammed Kudus at Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam.
Adingra said this after joining Ajax on a season-long loan from English Premier League side Sunderland with the Dutch club having the option to buy Adingra once the loan concludes.
The 2023 AFCON winner spent part of last season on loan at French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco after largely struggling to nail his spot at Sunderland.
In his first official interview as an Ajax player, Adingra said he hoped to be successful at Ajax as Kudus who is a Right To Dream Academy product like Adingra.
“Ajax is a good environment and also the style of play I think it fits my style…I hope I can do just as well here as Mohammed Kudus” Adingra said.
During his three year run at Ajax, Kudus scored 27 goals and added 12 assists in 87 games in all competitions while winning the league title twice and a Dutch Cup.
Kudus moved to West Ham from Ajax; he moved from West Ham to Tottenham Hotspurs ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
