The Philadelphia 76ers continued their strong start to the 2026-27 NBA season, coming back from 29 points down to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-106 and record their second straight win.
Philadelphia struggled early in its home opener but rallied to secure the remarkable comeback after opening the season with a win over the New York Knicks in New York.
Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 32 points and six assists, while LeBron James recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds.
“I said, ‘Well, it’s time to see what we made of. Are we going to be some front-runners and only be happy when stuff is good? Or when stuff is bad, are we going to fight and be resilient?’ And we did that.”

“They were just way, way, way tougher than us in the first half. They were just punking us honestly, and we did a good job of playing back second” Maxey said after the win.
