Manchester United ended their nine-game winless run with a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday, November 3.
United looked set for another defeat after conceding twice in the opening 17 minutes, following consecutive losses to Chelsea and Bournemouth.

Matías Soulé opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Donyell Malen converted a penalty six minutes later to put Roma 2-0 ahead.

However, Michael Carrick’s side mounted a second-half comeback, with Bruno Fernandes pulling one back from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.
Matheus Cunha then turned the game around, scoring twice in three minutes. The Brazilian equalised in the 83rd minute before completing United’s comeback in the 86th minute.

Cunha was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card, but United held on to secure their first win in 10 matches across all competitions.
United’s second-half dominance was reflected in the statistics. They recorded 15 shots to Roma’s seven, with six on target, and finished with 2.72 expected goals compared to Roma’s 1.53.
They also registered 30 touches in Roma’s penalty area, almost four times the visitors’ eight. United managed 10 shots in the second half without allowing Roma a single attempt.
The victory ends a run of nine matches without a win, during which United recorded three draws and six defeats.
