Ghanaian boxing legend Azumah Nelson has disclosed his disappointment with the country’s performance in the year 2019 as far as the sport is concerned.
Ghana’s Richard Commey lost his IBF Lightweight title to Teofimo Lopez earlier this month via a second round knockout that shocked the boxing world while it has been a relatively quiet year for the likes of Joshua Clottey, Emmanuel Tagoe, Duke Micah and a host of others.
Azumah indicated that steps must be taken to ensure that the coming year will be better.
“This year has not been too good but we are trying to make sure that the year 2020 will be better,”he stated.
