On Sunday, Accra Hearts of Oak dropped points in Cape Coast after a 1-1 draw with Ebusua Dwarfs on Match Day 32 of the Ghana Premier League.

Captain, Nkrumah Korsah gave the Crabs the lead in the 85th minute but an injury time volley by striker Kwadwo Obeng Jnr earned the Phobians a point to keep then on track for a first league title since 2009.

The result sees Hearts maintain their three-point lead over rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko who also recorded a 1-1 draw with King Faisal on Saturday.

Berekum Chelsea put themselves three points clear of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

Ameyaw Collins’ 40th-minute goal proved to be the winner for the away team. The victory sees them move up to 10th place.

Medeama Sporting Club moved into the top four of the Ghana Premier League table after coming from behind to beat Elmina Sharks 3-2.

Tahir Mensah scored the opener for the visitors just three minutes into the game before Medeama’s Fatawu Sulemana leveled for the hosts eight minutes later.

Elmina Sharks, however, took the lead again through Edmund Asiedu, but right on the stroke of half time, Vincent Atingah Addae leveled for the Mauve and Yellows.

Medeama then sealed victory with 12 minutes left after Ebenezer Ackahbi scored the third goal for his side.

The result leaves Medeama in third place with 51 points.

Techiman Eleven Wonders beat Great Olympics to secure an important win in their fight against relegation.

Abass Ganiu scored with five minutes left on the clock as Wonders won at the Accra Sports Stadium to move up to 11th on the league log, two points above the relegation zone while the loss sees Great Olympics drop out of the top four into fifth place.

Liberty Professionals overcame Karela United in a five-goal thriller to boost their survival hopes.

Evans Owusu scored the decisive goal as Liberty clinched all three points to move out of the relegation zone.

Liberty took the lead 12 minutes into the game through Abraham Wayo but Diawise Taylor restored parity for the visitors two minutes later, however Kwaku Karikari restored the lead for Liberty through a penalty in the 25th minute.

Karela then leveled the game in the 70th minute through Liberian Varney Sando, before Evans Owusu scored the winner for Liberty from close range.

The game between Aduana Stars and AshantiGold was rained off and will be played on Monday at 9am in Dormaa.

On Saturday:

Asante Kotoko’s title chances further took a hammer blow as they were forced to fight back and salvage a draw at home to city rivals King Faisal on match-day 32 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

The relegation-threatened visitors scored first but their first-half lead was cancelled out by a controversial late goal by Andy Kumi at the Len Clay Stadium Saturday afternoon.

The 1-1 result means second-placed Asante Kotoko are now on 57 points, while King Faisal move to 37 after 32 matches.

Elsewhere, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Legon Cities were also held to a 1-1 draw by Bechem United.

Emmanuel Annor’s second-half strike cancelled out a fantastic goal from the Royal’s Jonah Attuquaye in the first half.

The result leaves both teams in 12th and 13th place respectively, four points adrift of the relegation zone.
