A former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu has informed Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler to get used to poor pitches in Ghana and adapt.
He said this in the lead up to Kotoko’s clash against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in this year’s Democracy Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. Kotoko beat Hearts 4-1 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw.
Following his appointment as Kotoko head coach, South African Eric Tinkler slammed the poor state of playing surfaces in Ghana and pointed to bad pitches as a major reason why it was difficult for his team to play to their best abilities. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“I know he-Eric Tinkler- will be having some challenges here and there when it comes to pitches…but he should understand that this is how we also do our things here even though we can make things better but he should adapt and get used to it”.

“If he starts complaining a lot, he might go to a venue and see worst things” Maxwell Konadu said.
