Former Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Chairman Harry Zakour has taken a hard line stance as the team prepares to take on Real Bamako in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, October 16 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak play the second leg of its tie in the preliminary round of this season’s Confederations Cup at 15:00 GMT.

Hearts lost 0-3 to Bamako in the first leg played in Mali.

Chairman Zakkour who masterminded Hearts trophy winning run in the early 2000’s including bagging the CAF Champions League title addressed the Phobia family in an interview with Peace FM.

“We have to work hard. You know unity is the best in everything if we don’t have unity everything will not work so let’s pray to God everything will go well on the 16th if it doesn’t go well that’s not the end of Accra Hearts of Oak we will still build a team they should work hard and win the league” he said.

The highly respected administrator cited Liverpool’s 30 year English Premier League title drought as evidence of a patient and well planned team rebuild.

In 2004, Hearts of Oak became the first club to win the Confederations Cup.
