Ghana striker Kwame Peprah has officially joined Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters FC on a two year deal after a brief and shock stint with Israeli side Hapoel Hadera.
The 22 year old former King Faisal FC player’s move to India means he has played for multiple teams in two continents. Prior to his move to Israel, Peprah played for South African giant Orlando Pirates while on loan at Maritzburg United.
His move from Hadera was shocking considering he joined the team mere weeks ago and got high praise from Hadera Assistant Coach after signing.
“Very good personality, great character, a quiet player. Very good jump & very good headers. Good technique. Very good shooting with both foot inside the box.”
However, the Israeli side was reportedly in search for a “Number 9” and not a wing forward like Peprah who scored just once in 14 games for Maritzburg United.
After joining the Indian League side, Peprah expressed his eagerness to perform well for his new side.
“I am really happy to join this amazing Club and to have the opportunity to play in India,”
“I look forward to joining my teammates very soon and to and kick-start the next season!”
In his first season with Pirates, Peprah was nominated for the Young Player of the Year Award in the South African League.
