Former Ghana Black Stars head coach James Kwasi Appiah has been voted to serve a four year term as a member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council.

Running for one of five Executive Council (Ghana Premier League) seats on the ticket of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the ex- Black Stars head coach garnered 10 votes.

His tally was tied with incumbent ExCO member Nana Oduro Sarfo (Berekum Chelsea) finishing behind Frederick Acheampong (Dreams FC) who garnered 11 votes and Dr. Randy Abbey (Kpando Heart of Lions) who led the way with 12 out of 18 votes.
