Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member Eugene Nobel Noel has picked the Okwahu United- Kotoku Royals matchup as the most exciting game in the preliminary round of the 2023 MTN FA Cup.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of the draw that was conducted at the GFA Headquarters.
92 teams from the BetPawa Premier League, Access Bank Division One League and Division Two League have been drawn to compete in this year’s competition.
“We had a very successful draw we have some interesting pairings coming up. We have some local derbies. We have Steadfast FC and Tamale City another big encounter and one that interests me most is Kotoku Royals and Okwahu United. With these prelims, we are expecting much stiffer competition from the clubs.”
Eugene Noel was recently voted into office as a member of the GFA’s powerful Executive Council as a Division One representative.
Dreams FC are the defending MTN FA Cup champions.
