CAFCL Group Stage: Mission is to get Medeama the win at Baba Yara- Adotey

Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, says his immediate sole mission for the Tarkwa side is to get his team a win against Algerian outfit CR Beloiuzdad.

The CAF Champions League Group Stage Match Day 2 fixture is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, December 1 at 16:00 GMT.

The Mauve and Yellow heads into the game needing a win to ignite its charge towards qualification to the semifinal stage of Africa’s premier club competition.

Medeama lost 0-3 to Al-Ahly in Egypt on Match Day 1 with CR Beloiuzdad beating Young Africans 3-0 in the other Group D matchup.

Speaking ahead of the game in a press conference, coach Adotey called for the focus to be on Friday’s match and not the loss to Ahly while voicing his sole outcome he desires most saying, (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I am not going to predict; It is my mission that tomorrow, Medeama will carry the day whether we will score two (goals) three or one, at the end of the game, I want to see my team carrying the day.”

Medeama is playing in Kumasi due to a delay in the timeline of the construction of the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa.
