West Ham United manager David Moyes has described Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ goal against Arsenal as a “great goal”.
He said this after seeing his West Ham side score a 3-1 win over Arsenal in the fourth round of the 2023-2024 Carabao Cup season at the London Stadium.
Kudus scored a brilliantly well take goal after collecting a long cross field pass from Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd before slamming the ball past Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to put West Ham up 2-0.
Speaking to West Ham’s official media channel after the game, Moyes praised his offseason acquisition for the strike.
“Mo (Mohammed Kudus) scored a great goal. It’s a lovely pass from Nayef and a great touch and finish from Mo. Mo is on a couple of goals and Jarrod has been getting goals too. We’ve got a few goals tonight.”
The win ended a three game losing streak for West Ham ahead of another London derby but this time against Brentford.
The goal is Kudus’ third for West Ham and was registered on the day he was announced as a 2023 CAF Men’s Footballer of the Year Award nominee. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
