DANIOK FC – CHAMPIONS OF K-SIKA TOURNAMENT

Speaking to Citi Sports on the sidelines after the tournament, Kwabena Oppong Sika highlighted the agency’s objective is to throw the spotlight on young football talents in the country through such events.

He added that the ultimate goal will be to see them play at the highest level and that will be beneficial to the national course.

What this is all about is that, we want to promote the young talents in the country.

I feel like Ghana has got many talents, our youth system soccer is spoilt. We’ve got alot of talents in Ghana, we just don’t look for it.

Just take a look at today, alot of people came in today, to showcase thier talents and that is really impressive and they all want to accomplish thier dreams, so with S.K agency, we just want to push them and help them.

So that’s the main objective we organised this, just to help them and push them reach higher heights.

The maiden edition of the K-SIKA 8-team invitational tournament featured eight competing teams vying for the trophy and a $500 cash prize.

Daniok FC emerged victorious and are looking forward to defending their title in the second edition.

The event was graced by Colombus Crew midfielder Derrick Jones, who started his career in Ghana before leaving for the United States of America having featured for the Under 17 & Under 23 side for the Americans.

Also present was the Aspirant Member of Parliament for Oforikrom Constituency, Anwal Ahmed Sadat and Dre Asamoah, who is a Player Manager and Scout as well.
