In the face of suffering a 1-0 loss to Zambia’s National Women’s Team in a 2024 Olympic Games qualifier, members of the Black Queens playing body have thanked Ghanaian fans for their support.

A Rachael Kundananji strike in the first half was the difference in the tie with the second leg set to take place in Ndola on Wednesday, February 28. The Black Queens have touched down in Ndola to prepare for the crucial game.

In a front of a solid turnout by supporters, the Queens missed chances to secure a win in the first leg; ahead of the game, fans uproar played a key role in the clearance of outstanding bonuses for the Black Queens.

Touching on the top level of support for the team, Queens forward Doris Boaduwaa wrote on her X (formerly Twitter) page that, “Defeat is temporary, but the bond with our fans is forever. We may have fallen short in the game, but your unwavering support never wavered. Thank you for standing by us through thick and thin, cheering us on with passion and belief.”
