The 115th-minute incident led to rapid on-field medical assistance, and although he regained consciousness, Rahman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The match was briefly delayed, eventually concluding in a penalty shootout, with Panathinaikos winning 6-5 and securing a spot in the Greek Cup final.

His brief collapse on the pitch last night attracted lots of attention from several football fans on social media including the Professional Football Association of Ghana who put out a tweet saying :

Sending our thoughts and prayers to Baba Rahman after his fainting incident on the pitch.

Wishing him a speedy recovery and hoping to see him back on the field soon🙏
