Dreams Football Club head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has a positive outlook on his team’s run in the CAF Confederation Cup despite The Still Believe lads missing out on booking a place in the final game.
He said this in a post game interview in the wake of Dreams FC’s 3-0 loss to SC Zamalek at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Dreams suffered the loss in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal clash that had the teams play out a goalless draw in the first leg played in Egypt.
The Ghana Premier League club was on the verge of making it to the final game in its debut campaign in the continental championship.
Despite the heartbreaking loss, Karim Zito had a positive outlook on Dreams FC’s fairy tale run and touched on what the team needs to do better in the future.
“I am proud of our players and I cannot blame them because we know what we were able to achieve. We must be calm in matches and manage some things in a certain way. We must learn some lessons from the match as we build for the future, and it is important to suffer in order to get what you want.”
