Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, says his team’s shock loss to Accra Great Olympics was just a bad day at the office.

He said this after Kotoko lost 1-0 to Olympics at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex to suffer its 13th loss of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season with two league games left to play.

After speaking on his team’s need to improve in the final phase of the game, Dr. Ogum believes his team was quite unlucky in relation to Steven Mukwala’s saved penalty attempt. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I think it’s a good team, the players, individually, they are good, as a group too they are good. It’s just one of those bad days at the office. Steven was always running behind the defence but unfortunately, it’s that he couldn’t connect that penalty that’s the only shortfall.”

The loss sees Kotoko slip from ninth after picking up a 2-0 win over archrival Accra Hearts of Oak to 10th spot. The Porcupine Warriors take on Real Tamale United on June 7.
