Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has called on his team to be better in the final phase of the game to see out the season.

Kotoko lost 1-0 to Accra Great Olympics at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in a shock result in the immediate past round of the Ghana Premier League 2023-2024 season. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

In a game that had Kotoko miss a penalty after Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare saved Steven Mukwala’s tame attempt in the 16th minute, Dr. Ogum reflected on his team’s poor performance in attack.

“We need to work harder than we have worked especially in this game and especially in the final phase of the game where we have to score. I think we need to be more confident in front of goal. We need to be sure that we put the ball at the back of the net and once we are able to do that in our two games left, I’m sure we will be okay.”

Kotoko drop to 10th place in the standings after the loss.
