Nsoatreman Football Club have been drawn against Niger’s TP Electric Sport in the preliminary round of the 2024-2025 CAF Confederations Cup.
The fixture was confirmed at the official draw in Cairo, Egypt with Nsoatreman representing Ghana in the competition that had fellow Ghanaian club Dreams FC reach the semifinals.
The winner of the tie will take on the winner of the CS Constantine (Algeria) and Police FC of Sierra Leone in the second round. Nsaotreman’s first round home and away tie against TP Electric Sport will take place in the periods between September 13 and 15 and September 20 and 22.
Heavyweights including defending champions SC Zamalek of Egypt, USM Algiers of Algeria, Nigeria’s Enyimba FC and Stade Malien drew a bye in the first round.
Nsoatreman won the rights to represent Ghana in African football’s second tier competition after winning the 2024 MTN FA Cup via a penalty shootout win over Bono rival Bofoakwa Tano.
The club recently appointed former Black Stars striker Yaw Preko as head coach to replace Maxwell Konadu who departed the club after recording a fourth place finish in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League and winning the FA Cup.
