NPP Manifesto: Bawumia promises buses for premier league clubs and improvement of league

Vice President and the New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has unveiled ambitious plans by his government to actively support the revival of the Ghana Premier League and other football clubs.

During the launch of the NPP’s 2024 Manifesto, which he called “bold solutions,” Dr Bawumia outlined comprehensive and sustainable policies for sports development, including provisions for funding, training, tax incentives, and direct support.

He emphasized that as President, his administration will “assist in revitalizing the Premier League and clubs to enhance their commercial viability and generate related job opportunities.”

We will support the revival of the Premier League and clubs to improve commercial viability and create related jobs by directing policy through the National Lottery Authority and the Gaming Commission to establish and fund a sports employment module to assist Premier clubs fund operational expenses including pre -player remuneration and also we will provide a bus to each Premier League club.
