Hasaacas Ladies Football Club assistant head coach, Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah, has stated that Omnisports Football Club’s tactics frustrated his side.
He said this after Hasaacas played out a goalless draw with Omnisports of Burkina Faso to open its campaign in the WAFU Zone Women’s Qualifiers to the Women’s CAF Champions League.
Kwesi Mensah, who is leading the charge for Hasaacas in head coach Yusif Basigi’s stead due to the latter’s engagement with Ghana’s Under 20 Women’s National Team-the Black Princesses, wasn’t too pleased with his team’s performance.
“We were very careful as to how to approach it. From the first five minutes, it was clear they were a tactically disciplined team. They had a solid plan, pack the middle, they were not bringing the high press, they were not playing the high line. Even with men football, when a team is playing that it gets you very frustrated.”
“We were not able to get the ball through the middle because of the packed middle…we did a lot of changes to our plan.”
