Hasaacas Ladies Football Club assistant head coach, Emmanuel Mensah, has chastised his players for giving up too early in the team’s 3-0 loss to Edo Queens of Nigeria.
The loss came in the second game for both teams at the ongoing WAFU Zone B Championship at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, Cote D’Ivoire. The championship is to determine the representatives from the regional block to compete in the main CAF Women’s Champions League.
Hasaacas conceded in the 57th, 67th and 87th minute respectively to still stay winless in the competition after drawing goalless with Burkina Faso’s Omnisport in their opening game.
“Football is very chaotic. If you concede and you don’t keep your head up, you keep on conceding and I think the girls gave up too early. They should have still fought till the end but they gave up too early.”
