The Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency, stated that Ghana having no stadium good enough to host such games is a result of leadership downplaying the importance of sports.
“When you put square pegs in round holes, these are the sort of results, you will get. Sometimes people think that sports is the Ministry that should be given as a candy to a weeping or wailing child so anybody at all can be sent to sports but truth be told, it’s the most difficult, most important and most technical Ministry.”
“In this country, if we are not in a political season, the most important thing for people to talk about is sports. In this country, the only thing that unifies the country even in election year is sports.”
Ghana will take on Sudan in back to back 2025 AFCON qualification games on October 11 and October 15 with Ghana’s “home game” scheduled to be held in either Cote D’Ivoire or Togo.”
