The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is scheduled to appear before a Parliamentary Select Committee for Sports, Culture and Tourism today.

The football body is expected to answer questions from the committee that is chaired by Member of Parliament for South Tongu Constituency, Wisdom Woyome, on issues stemming from the 2023 AFCON.

The GFA is also expected to answer questions on the development of accommodation facilities to house national football teams at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

Former Black Stars player Derek Boateng recently slammed the GFA for caring only about money and not about player welfare. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Day One of the hearing had Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif appear before the committee where he spoke about how Ghana’s contingent at the 2023 AFCON spent three million dollars at the competition despite crashing out at the group stage without registering a win.
