Black Princesses captain, Stella Nyamekye, continues to be a bright spot in a glum campaign for Ghana’s National Women’s Under 20 Football Team at this year’s World Cup.

The Dreamz Ladies Football Club player scored another consolation goal as Ghana lost 4-1 to Japan at the ongoing 2024 FIFA Women’s Under 20 World Cup in Colombia.

After scoring a brilliant long range strike in Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Austria, the skipper scored from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute after getting fouled by Japan’s Raika Okamura.

After suffering back to back losses, Ghana is in serious danger of missing out on progressing from the group stage for the seventh consecutive time.

Ghana ranks third in Group E with zero points and a goal difference of -4 ahead of New Zealand who have zero points but a goal difference of -9.
