Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has expressed great respect for former coach Kwesi Appiah, who now leads the Sudan national team.

The two will face off on October 11 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the matchday 3 fixture of the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.

Otto Addo and his squad are determined to secure their first three points of the campaign, following a defeat to Angola and a draw against Niger in Morocco.

After announcing his 25-man squad, Otto Addo revered the former Black Stars Coach, James Kwesi Appiah.

I have so much of big respect for Kwesi Appiah, even more as a human being than what he has achieved for Ghana.

And big, big respect for him, for what he’s done so far with the Sudan team.

They are leading in their World Cup qualifiers in a group with Senegal, Guinea -Bissau and Togo.

I mean, there’s no way we will underrate them.

They are very, very good.
