Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has described midfielder Fernando Wisdom Bassey’s debut for the Porcupine Warriors as impactful.

The Nigerian player came off the bench in the second half and played 25 minutes in Kotoko’s 1-0 win over Nsoatreman FC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

In his post-game interview, Dr. Ogum stated that fatigue concerns about his team are inconsistent and went on to praise Kotoko’s recently signed player. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I think it’s good for him, he came in his first game, he even had the opportunity to score so as a team, the players in the dressing room, everybody was happy for him…we are all happy for him that he came in and made an impact. We only hope that he will keep the momentum when given the opportunity to play again.”

Elvis Kyei-Baffour scored the game’s winner in the 47th minute as Nsoatreman midfielder Daniel Amoo got sent off in the 78th minute after receiving two yellow cards.
