Black Stars forward Inaki Williams bagged a brace in Athletic Bilbao’s 4-1 win over Espanyol in the Spanish La Liga round of games after the international break.

Despite his continued struggles with the Black Stars especially coming off a goalless draw and a 2-0 loss to Sudan in a 2025 AFCON qualification double header, Williams continues to impress for Bilbao.

30 year old Williams scored in the 28th and 30th minute after brother and Spanish international Nico Williams provided an assist for Bilbao’s first goal in the win. Inaki’s goals were Bilbao’s second and third in the win.

For his first goal, Williams took a brilliant touch just inside the penalty box to control Alex Berenguer’s pass from the right side before smashing the ball into the net.

Inaki’s second goal came after smashing the ball past Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia two minutes after his first goal from the right side of the penalty box.
