Former President of Techiman City Football Club, Charles Ntim popularly known as Mickey Charles, has blasted the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over the poor state of buses donated Access Bank Division One Clubs by the GFA.
The GFA donated buses to nine Division One clubs at the Accra Sports Stadium in a brief ceremony headlined by GFA President Kurt Okraku. The buses were donated to the clubs as a fulfillment of the promise made by Kurt Okraku at the 29th Ordinary Congress in Kumasi in 2023.
In his speech at the presentation, Kurt Okraku stated that, “This initiative is part of our broader strategy to empower clubs and ensure sustainable development of the game.”
Clubs like New Edubiase FC, Okwawu United, Basake Holy Stars and Vision FC (both compete in the Ghana Premier League now) are beneficiaries.
However, in a video circulating on social media, Mickey Charles blasted the GFA over the poor state of the bus given to the clubs.
American based Ghanaian sports journalist Seidu Adamu shared photos of the interior of one of the buses highlighting a worn out section of the driver’s seat and pedals.
