Head coach Mas-u Didi Dramani is leading the team’s preparations, and there is a wave of optimism about their chances under his guidance.
Former Black Galaxies midfielder Emmanuel Asiedu Attorbrah in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, has expressed faith in Dramani’s leadership and his ability to steer the team to success.
Speaking about the coach’s style, Attorbrah remarked,

“Although I haven’t played under him directly, I’ve heard a lot of positive things.
He understands how to manage his players and bring out their best.”
Attorbrah believes Dramani’s approach could mark a turning point for the Black Galaxies, who have struggled in recent CHAN tournaments.
“I hope that with Didi in charge this time, they can perform well and overcome Nigeria,” he said.
Reflecting on the team’s past challenges, Attorbrah highlighted inadequate preparation and a lack of cohesion as major obstacles to their success.
“During our time, we spent a long time in camp. The team was cohesive, we understood each other’s strengths, and everyone had confidence in the coaches and one another,” he explained.
He stressed the importance of thorough preparation, adding, “Winning matches and ultimately the tournament requires consistent effort.
It’s about grooming the players, spending time in camp, and building team chemistry.”
The Black Galaxies’ recent CHAN campaigns have been disappointing, often hindered by limited preparation and inconsistent performances.
However, with Dramani’s tactical expertise and focus on unity, fans are hopeful that this year’s campaign will bring a much-needed turnaround.
Ghana holds the painful record of being the first nation to suffer defeat in the CHAN finals twice within the competition’s nine-year history.
The Black Galaxies’ standout performances came in 2009 and 2014 when they reached the finals but fell short on both occasions.
In the most recent edition held in Algeria, Ghana’s campaign ended prematurely, as they were eliminated in the round of 16 following a loss to Niger.
