Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has criticized GFA President Kurt Okraku as Ghana football continues to struggle.

He said this in the wake of the Black Stars failure to qualify to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco after going winless in the qualification phase in an interview with Lawson FM.

This marks the first time in 20 years Ghana won’t compete in the continental championship; Ghana has failed to qualify from the AFCON group stage in back to back editions.

“Football is like pregnancy, and we can all see that all is not well with our game. Kurt Okraku’s administration is not doing well, and that is the truth. I don’t know what is wrong, but we can all see that things are not going right.”

“In five years, the current GFA has appointed five coaches, which is not a sign of a stable administration. These frequent changes have not helped.”

The GFA executive Council recently met with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo after the disastrous AFCON qualification campaign but reports indicate the German born coach will stay in his role.
