In the aftermath of Ghana’s failure to qualify to compete in next year’s CHAN that will be held in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, Black Galaxies head coach Mas-ud Dramani commended Nigeria for their win over Ghana.
Ghana lost 3-1 to Nigeria in Uyo in the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers after playing out a goalless draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Nigeria bagged three quick goals in the 19th, 22nd and 25th minute respectively with Berekum Chelsea forward Stephen Amankona scoring Ghana’s consolation goal in the 73rd minute.
After seeing Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team eligible to only Ghana based players get dominated by the Eagles B, Mas-ud Dramani said Nigeria deserved the win.
“They were full of running and played their hearts out. Congratulations to Nigeria because they deserved their victory. They were the better team” Dramani said according to Nigerian media outlet Premium Times.

Ghana was aiming to qualify to the CHAN for the second edition in a row after crashing out at the quarterfinal stage in the 2022 edition.
