Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has shared the reason behind celebrating his latest goal in the 2024-2025 English Premier League season with a touch of Ghana.
Kudus scored in the 58th minute to earn West Ham United a 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium.
After bagging his third goal of the season, Kudus grabbed a Ghana themed stool with an elephant designed at the base and sat on it to celebrate the goal.
Speaking after the game, Kudus stated that he wanted to share a piece of Ghana to the world.
“It’s a special stool, a stool from Ghana. I wanted to do something different with my celebration, that shows off my roots and where I come from. Where I’m from, the Chiefs and the Kings sit on stools that showcase where they’re from, so I thought it would be nice to show a little example of where I’m from. It’s a beautiful stool.”
The draw means West Ham are unbeaten in three games at the time of writing. Scroll down to watch Mo Kudus’ goal celebration.
