Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams, has stated that President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama, has assured him of his relentless support.

Kofi Adams said this in an interview after he was sworn in as Minister of Sports and Recreation by President Mahama after getting vetted as the Minister Designate for the sector.

In his speech delivered at the swearing in ceremony, President Mahama charged Kofi Adams to revive sports in Ghana and directed him to start by getting issues at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) right. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Kofi Adams, who doubles as Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, confessed that President Mahama assured him of his unrelenting support as he commences work officially.

“If you observed, when I was receiving the scroll, we communicated…he was just telling me what it is that he knows is there-Sports Ministry- and the kind of support that he is going to give me 24/7” Kofi Adams said.

Kofi Adams has replaced Mustapha Ussif as Sports Minister and takes over a sector riddled with financial challenges.
