President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has stated that all expenditure on national sports teams will be accounted for and added that there won’t be any secret expenditure in his government.

President Mahama said this in his first State of the Nation Address to Ghana’s Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic delivered on Thursday, February 27.

“After all, it is the taxpayers funds that are used to fund these activities. The reduction in government expenditure and waste reduction applies to all sectors of the economy including the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.”
