“I’ve instructed my office and the Sports and Recreation Minister to hold the GFA accountable to the people of Ghana,” he stated, signaling a push for reforms within the football governing body.
His remarks come amid growing dissatisfaction among Ghanaians over the performance of the national teams, the declining state of the domestic league, and issues surrounding football administration in the country.
Beyond football, the President also touched on the broader sporting landscape, pledging increased investment in infrastructure, grassroots development, and athlete support to restore Ghana’s dominance in international sports.
With these directives, many expect a renewed focus on governance and funding within the GFA, as well as strategic policies to revive the Black Stars and improve Ghanaian sports at all levels.
