The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has appointed Dr. Emmanuel Adu Sarkodie, Group Chief Executive of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, as its new patron.

A passionate tennis player and football lover, Dr. Sarkodie has been a steadfast supporter of SWAG and various sports disciplines, significantly contributing to their development and promotion in Ghana.

SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah, alongside other board members, met with Dr. Sarkodie to discuss his new role.

Yeboah explained that the decision followed consultations with the association’s council of patrons, who recognized Dr. Sarkodie’s impactful contributions to both the Ghanaian economy and sports.

He praised the business leader’s potential to further elevate SWAG and advance sports nationwide.

Dr. Sarkodie, a longtime sponsor of the SWAG Awards, expressed gratitude for the honor and reaffirmed his dedication to supporting the association’s mission of promoting and developing sports in Ghana.
