Member of Parliament for Berekum West, Dickson Kyere-Duah, has stated that the latest iteration of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, is united and committed than before.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after visiting the team’s training session ahead of crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana takes on Chad on March 21 in Accra and plays against Madagascar in Morocco on March 24 seeking to bounce back after failing to qualify to the 2025 AFCON.
“Last year (during) the AFCON qualifiers, I watched quite a number of them and I’m seeing a totally different Black Stars today; A Black Stars that you can see a sense of unity, you can see a sense of commitment, you can see their passion and drive and they are driven by the Ghanaian supporters” he said and added that

“The technical team has been beefed, there has been some tweaks here and there at the management level of the Black Stars and the players themselves are very enthusiastic…and I am very confident, on Friday and on Monday, we will record sweet victories in those two matches and that will put us in strong contention to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.”
