Ghana and Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams is hoping that the Spanish club records a good campaign in the upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign.
He said this while reacting to his La Liga African Player of the Year Award win after the conclusion of the 2024-2025 campaign where he scored six goals and added eight assists in 35 league games.
After expressing how happy he was to win the top award for the second time in a row, the Black Stars player spoke about Bilbao’s upcoming run in the elite competition after finishing fourth in the La Liga standings. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“We are playing some incredible football, we’ve had two great seasons and we’re not setting any limits for ourselves. We hope that next season we can put together a good campaign in the Champions League. That’s the dream of every Athletic fan; to see us play well and give a good account of ourselves” Williams said.

Williams isn’t part of the Black Stars squad competing in the Unity Cup in England from May 28 to May 31.
